30 Food Items You Should Stop Buying { Make Homemade Instead } (Day 11)

November 11, 2015 Amy 5 Comments

How to live on one income in 31 days

This is day 11 of How to Live on One Income Guide. To read all the post in order start on Day 1 here.

Another easy way to save money on groceries, is to simply make them yourself. Buying just the basic ingredients to make things homemade with out all the additives and preservatives found in most food. On my journey I was amazed how few ingredients were needed for most items I would buy. Now I can afford to buy better ingredients like organic and all natural products. Plus learning the science behind cooking like how to make yogurt is just plain fun. I have compiled a great reference list for you to use for homemade mixes, snacks and pantry staples to fill your home with goodness. You can also find a comprehensive list broken out by category on my Homemade Pantry Staples page.

I did stop this series as a daily thing. I went to weekly assignments. It know it does seem confusing. It seems to be getting a lot of traction lately, so I may finish it soon.

The link on week 7 will not take me to week 8. I would like to add weeks 8, 9 & 10 to my LIVE ON ONE INCOME on Pinterest, but I cannot find them. Please, help me.
