Easy Handmade Valentine Cards: Valentine Arrows

January 21, 2015 Amy 4 Comments

Handmade Valentines are so cute and very inexpensive to make and add a little personal touch.

Handmade Valentines don’t have to use all your toner when you print them out either.

I have made a cute little arrow valentine cards you can put a pencil or glow stick in for a cherished Valentine. Kids always enjoy giving gifts they help make or assemble.

Directions how to make handmade Valentine cards:  Arrows

Arrows Valentine card

1. First download this Arrow Valentine card printable to make it super easy. Print out enough for your child’s class size on white card stock. You will only have to print a few sheets, since there are six on one sheet.

2. Cut out the Valentine’s. If you lay the pieces of paper on top of one another, you can cut them out all at the same time. Allow your child to place their name and their friends name on the cards. It is important to write the names in this step before the pencils and glow sticks are in there.

3. Next get a craft knife (this is the one I love) cut small slits above the arrow and below the feather part. This is where you will insert the pencil or glow stick.

Easy Glow Stick Valentines day cards

4. Next insert the pencil or glow stick through the holes to make the arrow look real. Gently place a piece of tape on the back to hold the pencil or glow stick in place.

We love to make handmade valentine cards for the class. Giving pencils is a useful gift, since this is something just about everyone needs.

Non Candy Valentine Card Printable with Pencils. Pencil Valentines day card.

By February the pencils at school are getting pretty short, worn and beat up. This is a way to give a gift that will be loved and used, instead of the typical candy gifts. I am not against candy. It is sometimes just too much. You will love how easy these were to put together and can be done in just a few minutes. Check out these Boho theme Valentines with arrows if you just love arrows.
