Ingredients
1 1/2cupsRolled Oats
1/2cupnutspumpkin seeds or pepitas for nut free
1/2cupdried fruitcranberries, raisins, dates or prunes
1/4cupsseedssunflower, flax or sesame
1tsp.cinnamonuse pumpkin spice for pumpkin pie bars
1/4cupof brown sugar for sweetnessoptional
a dash of nutmegmy secret ingredient
a dash of salt
1 1/4cupmilkuse dairy free option
1egg
1tsp.vanillause homemade vanilla extract
Instructions
Gather and measure all the dry ingredients into a large bowl . Mix it all together to combine it.
Next measure the milk and vanilla in a bowl. Crack the egg and mix them all together.
Now pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir together. It seems like is it really runny. It will come out perfect. As it cooks the oatmeal absorbs the milk and the egg helps hold it all together.
Pour into a greased 9X9 in square baking dish and bake for 350 for 40 minutes. Cut into 8 bars. Store in the refrigerator once cut and enjoy.
