3/4teaspoonsalt
2cupswhole wheat flourI use Bob's Red Mill, Organic, Whole Wheat Flour
2cupswhole wheat pastry flourI use Bob's Red Mill - Organic Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
1 3/8cupwatermake sure this is at room temp, you may need to heat up a bit during winter
1packet of yeast
1tablespoonItalian seasonings
1/2teaspoongarlic
3tablespoonsof olive oil
Instructions
First measure all the ingredients. I like to mix the whole wheat flour with the pastry flour in equal parts. I find mixing two whole wheat flours makes a smoother dough to work with.
Next combine all the ingredients according to your bread machines directions add the seasoning and garlic last. These are my secret ingredients to make the best tasting homemade pizza dough.
Hit the dough setting on your bread machine. Seriously it is that easy. I love this!
Once the pizza dough it complete, let the dough rise for one more hour and it is done.
Divide pizza dough into two equal portions, flour a surface well and roll out each pizza dough ball to about 12 inches. Place on a pizza stone and poke with a few holes using a fork. Spread some sauce over the top, add cheese and toppings. Cook in a 400 degree oven for about 15 - 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
