Watch Bravo’s Odd Mom Out With a Drink Bar for Mom’s Night In Party

June 2, 2015 Amy 2 Comments

Bravo
Do you ever just want to invite the girls over for a little girl fun to relax and watch a show? Getting together with the girls can be an enjoyable way to relieve some stress and hang out with the girls.  Since I am a southern girl, I wanted to create some fun southern drinks to enjoy for a mom’s night in party. We sat around and watched a new show on Bravo called Odd Mom Out premiering on June 8th at 10pm / 9 pm Central.

Odd Mom Out Tv Show

We all had some laughs as we watched this quirky mom with real life struggles living in Manhattan. I feel we can all relate to being the Odd Mom Out. I often feel like the Odd Mom Out, since I never seem to know what to say when my kids start acting super goofy and a bit crazy.  That is usually the norm for us. Life is too short not to be a little quirky and enjoy a few drinks to take the edge off.

Champagne (Chilled)
Orange Juice (Chilled)
Fresh or frozen fruit for garnish

How to Make Mom – osas

how to make a mimosa Bar

1. Get a champagne glass. Fill with one part Champagne of choice and one part orange juice of choice add a piece of fresh fruit to garnish. I like to freeze berries, so it keep the drink cooler for longer. It really is so simple to make a mom – osas for any occasion.

Mom – itos

Mom - ito cocktail drink

Ingredients for Mom -itos

Ice (rocks)
Rum
Sugar
Mint
Club Soda

How to Make Mom -itos

1. Start with 4 parts white rum. Then add 3 parts fresh lime juice into a glass.

2. Take 6 leaves mint and 2 teaspoons of sugar and mash with a muddler to crush the mint leaves. This releases the mint flavor for this refreshing drink.

3. Mix both parts together over some ice in a tall glass and top off with a splash of lemon lime soda. Garnish with fresh lime and fresh mint leaves. This is one of my favorite drinks for the summer.

Don’t Forget the Food

Nothing goes better with TV than a few refreshing drinks and a few tasty snacks. Try some fresh homemade salsa  or Mock – a – Mole for a couple of great dips while watching the show. These dips pair nicely with the fresh drinks prepared for the evening. Since these drinks are so refreshing, keep the choices of snacks refreshing too.
