March 14, 2017 Amy 4 Comments

This post is brought to you by Pillsbury to share how to make a bunny and chick cookie Easter basket. The content and opinions expressed below are my own.

Baking around the holidays is challenging, since there is so much to do. The cleaning, decorating and baking all needs to get done. Sometimes I like to get a little help from Pillsbury Bunny and Chick shape cookies, then add my own personal touch to make them more homemade. With a little chocolate and a few sprinkles, these cute bunny and chick shape cookies can turn into a treasured masterpiece.

Coconut

Supplies Needed

Wooden skewers or lollipop sticks (3 different size heights)
Washi tape

Green Easter grass

Directions for Bunny and Chick Cookie Basket

Start by baking the cookies according to the package directions from Pillsbury. For added decoration dip the cookies in white sugar sprinkles before they are baked.

Sugar coating cookie

While the cookies are baking, start melting the chocolates separately using a double broiler.

Inserting Stick into cookie

After the cookies come out of the oven, and they are still soft, carefully place sticks for decorating.

Chocolate Coated Cookie

Now the fun begins. Dip the cookies in the chocolate then in the sprinkles. Use chocolate sprinkles with the dark chocolate dipped cookies and white chocolate for the rainbow sprinkles to really make the colors pop.

Dippping cookie in Sprinkles

To make bunny tails, dip the cookie in white chocolate then in coconut. These cookies look just like bunny tails.

To add a little more color to the basket, wrap the sticks with different colored washi tape of your choice.

Now all the cookies are decorated, and some not decorated since they are so cute, it is time to assemble the basket.

Arrange the basket with various heights of cookies, placing the tallest in the back.Bunny and chick cookie Easter Basket

Easter cookie Basket

Aren’t the Bunny and Chick shaped cookies the cutest? You can find these cookies at your Walmart stores during the holiday season. They add a touch of whimsy to this Easter basket. Wouldn’t you love to receive this colorful cookie basket as a gift? I think this would even be cute as an edible centerpiece for your Easter table. Then after the meal everyone can just grab a cookie out of the basket for dessert and still eat and talk to continue to make family memories.
