Healthy Eating Out Options at Wendy’s

September 15, 2013 Amy 1 Comment

Disclosure: I was able to try the healthy eating out options on the menu at Wendy’s with the Grilled Chicken Flatbread sandwiches. This article is financially supported by Wendy’s as part of this Wendy’s campaign. All thoughts, photos, videos and opinions expressed in this article are my own.

Healthy Eating Out Options

Have you seen the new Grilled Chicken Flatbread sandwiches from Wendy’s? After I saw the commercial, I really wanted to try them.  When we eat out, I try to find the item with the lowest calorie count. The flatbread sandwiches provide healthy eating out options to choose instead of a hamburger at Wendys. You can still have healthy eating on a budget on Wendy’s menu.

My husband and I tried both the Asiago Ranch and the Smokey Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken Flatbread. I really liked my Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken Sandwich at only 380 calories and my husband liked his Asiago Ranch too. There are tomatoes and lettuce on each sandwich. Veggies are something I really like on my sandwich. I was surprised to find a low calorie healthy eating out option on the menu at Wendy’s. This fits into my healthy eating plan.

Here is the commercial we created on Instagram about how good the Wendy’s grilled chicken sandwiches are. I am pretty sure we are not going to win any Oscars for our performance, but we had a great time making this short video. Just click to play our video.

I have seen the commercials for these flat breads at Wendy’s. They look really tasty. It is great to see fast food chains offering us healthy options!

You’ve made me hungry that’s for sure.
