The Best Family Game Night Ideas – Quality Unplugged Time

February 27, 2014 Amy Leave a Comment

Sometimes it feels like we have been trapped indoors forever. This winter has been incredibly cold. I think this spring will be very rainy. When we are all stuck indoors for a long time, we need some family fun activity to do. We have found many family game night ideas to fight those inside blues. We were so excited when Hasbro sent the new Elefun and Friends Mouse Trap game to try.

Elefun and Friends Mouse Trap was so easy to set up. We had it all put together in just a few minutes for family game night. Little Face loved to see the little ball roll down and watch how all the pieces moved. It comes with three little mice who love cheese, for a three player game. We all enjoyed taking turns playing with Little Face. I have no idea how many times we played in the first few days, but we all had a blast playing Mouse Trap over and over again. A very entertaining game for all ages.

When the kids say they are bored and want something to do, suggest taking out a board game to play. This would also count for some time away from electronics for the kids. Playing games builds social skills as well as learning to take turns. When we play a game that may be too hard for the four year old, he gets to help out on someone’s team (usually mine.) We try to make sure everyone is included and we are all having fun. Playing games with your kids, will make lasting memories you both will cherish forever.

Do you have any great family game night ideas to share?
