Week One of Living on One Income
First let’s be sure everyone is on board. Especially if you have a spouse, you both need to agree this is what you both want. Working towards the same goal makes this transition a whole lot easier. Living off one income involves saving money where ever and when ever possible. First you need to start with a budget, so you can see what areas to cut or reduce spending.
This will give you an idea if one person can stay at home. This is a must before anyone leaves a good paying job. I will provide you with easy to follow worksheets to see where you can cut a little here and there to make it work for your family. This is a good tool for a single mom, too. Knowing where you money is going, you can then train your money to go for the right things.
Week Two of Living on One Income
Saving in the kitchen with homemade mixes, seasonings and meal planning. There is an entire week devoted to the kitchen here. This is my biggest savings each month compared to when I was working. I will provide easy meal planning printables as well as pantry printables to keep the kitchen and food organized. Food can be a big expense, but I will show you how to tame your budget at the grocery store. I will provide several ideas, so you can choose what will work the best for you and your family, or you can do them all for the most savings.
Week Three of Living on One Income
There are many other ways to save money on electricity, gas, clothing and much more. I will provide how to save money in all other areas in your life. Sometimes you need a little extra cash for unexpected things or holidays. I will share with you how to make a little extra money to help you through the tougher times to make it not so tough. Many ideas you may know and few you may not know.
Week Four of Living on One Income
Items you can make yourself to have on hand from homemade beauty products, homemade gifts and much more. I make most of my own beauty products to use for myself or give as gifts when needed. This cuts way down on spending on frivolous things you may not have extra income to spare. During this week we will learn a lot of items you can make yourself at home. I am most excited about this week of sharing my homemade recipes you will love.
