1can15 oz tomatoesor roasted tomatoes for a smoky flavor
1cupuncooked rice or 3 cups cooked rice
1lbground meat
1packetor 3 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning
1mediumdiced onionoptional
1/4cupcut fresh cilantrooptional
1/2LimeSqueezedoptional
Instructions
First start boiling 3 cups water for the rice. Once boiling throw in the cup of rice. Cover and cook 20 minutes for white rice 40 for brown rice)
Next cook the onion until translucent in a cast iron skillet in a little oil. Then add the ground meat and cook until brown.
Once the meat is fully cooked. Open and drain the can of beans and drain the corn and dump in the skillet. Open the can of tomatoes and dump the full can into the skillet and stir.
After the rice is cooked add to the skillet and stir together the ingredients.
To make it taste like restaurant quality you can add 1/8 cup cilantro and squeeze the juice from half a lime and stir together in the skillet. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro on top to serve.
