How to Start a Daily Hair Routine For Kids That Works

August 12, 2016 Amy Leave a Comment

I am excited SoCozy is sponsoring this post to inform you how to start a daily hair routine for kids. This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of SoCozy. All opinions are my own and not edited by the sponsor.

Do your kids hate taking a bath? So do mine. Sometimes starting a routine can be difficult for children. Especially when it come to health and hygiene. However, once it becomes a routine it is easier to get kids to do it. Taking a bath and washing hair can be a daily challenge each night.

Establishing a Hair Routine for Kids

Choose a time that works best for your child. We start around 7:30 for bath time. This gives him enough time to get everything done before bed. Taking a shower speeds up bath time tremendously. He is able to wash off and wash his hair. SoCozy 3 in 1, shampoo, conditioner and wash, makes shower time so easy. Just having one product to do it all in the bath.

Before bed, I like to spray a little SoCozy detangler on his hair. This helps manage his hair while he sleeps. When he wakes up in the morning, his hair is easier to comb and style. With the detangler we have less trouble getting all his hair to stay down. Trust me, this takes some time in the mornings. If his hair is a little wild and sticking up, I use a squirt or two of detangler on the spot to get it to lay straight.

Creating a Hair Style

My son is going into second grade and he is starting to care about his appearance more and more each day.  He likes to style his hair after he brushes his teeth in the morning.  He takes time to comb and tame his hair. Now that he is getting older, he wants a little more style to his hair. I have shown him how to use the SoCozy styling cream to have a soft a little flip up in the front. This creates a little style he can manage by himself in the mornings. He is my only kid that likes to make sure his hair is done before school.
