Baked Pumpkin Spice Doughnut Recipe

This Baked Pumpkin Spice Doughnut recipe warms you from the inside out and filled with healthy goodness. They are an amazing fall breakfast treat!

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 3/4 cup Greek vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract<-I make my own
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 2 eggs
  • Spray oil <- use this reusable spray oil container


  1. First mix all the dry ingredients together. Then mix all the wet ingredients together in a separate bowl including pumpkin puree puree.
  2. Then pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients while stirring. Stir until well combined to make a doughnut batter.
  3. When all of the ingredients are mixed together, pour the batter into the doughnut molds.
  4. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Let set for about 2 minutes then pop out of the molds and let cool on a wire rack like this one.

Recipe Notes

You can use the same amount of buttermilk instead of yogurt.

Don't like pumpkin pie spice, you can just use the same amount of cinnamon. 

For a buttery doughnut, use melted butter instead of oil.

For a little sweeter doughnut, dip in a mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice once they come out of the molds.  This makes them the best!
