  • 1/4 Cup of Shea Butter This is what I recommend, affiliate link
  • 1/4 Cup of solid Coconut Oil This is what I recommend, affiliate link
  • 1 Tablespoon of Vitamin E Oil This is what I recommend, affiliate link
  • 20-30 drop of Essential Oils of your choice This is what I recommend, 100% Therapeutic Grade
  • 3 4 oz Mason jars to store the body butter This is what I recommend, affiliate link

  1. Place a wide mouth 8oz glass canning jar in a pot of water. The water should be about half way up on the jar. Heat the water on med high heat until a small boil.
  2. Add the shea butter first then add the coconut oil. Allow the them to hangout and melt together. Stir occasionally  to help the melting process.
  3. Once the Shea butter and the coconut oil are melted remove from heat. Then add the vitamin E oil.
  4. Pour in a mixing bowl and allow to cool. This is the hardest part, since it takes about an hour to cool. You can place in the fridge or freezer and keep checking on it. It is best when it is at the point of starting to solidify again. This is the best point to add the essential oils. Add what you like. I have several versions. One is for minor muscles aches after a work out. A relaxing whipped body butter with lavender before bedtime and an invigorating one for the morning.
