Combine the dry flour, salt, baking powder and Parmesan cheese together and stir to combine.

Mix the oil and the water together.

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Pour the oil and water in the center of the well. Fold in the sides until fully combined together.

Knead for about 3-4 min. This will ensure all the ingredients are combined together. Set aside while preparing the next ingredients

Dough for Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 16 x 9 inches.

Next spread the cheese evenly over the top of the surface.

After the cheese is spread, lay down 12 slices of Hillshire Farm Brown Sugar ham overlapping slightly. I like Hillshire Farm lunch meat, since it tastes tender and juicy. It is slow roasted for hours and double-sealed for absolute freshness.

Rolling Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

Starting at one end roll up the dough gently until you get to the other side. Dampen the edge with some water and push together to seal.

Cut into about 1 inch sections and lay in a well-greased pan.

Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or, until the dough is fully cooked.

Serve in lunches or for snacks. Freeze to pull out whenever needed.

For an added twist. Twist a few of the pin wheels to make an ant shape. Add a few pretzels and black olives to make a spider lunch.

My son loves these fun lunches like this. I try to make his lunch in the morning so he doesn’t know what’s inside. Once he gets to school and opens his lunch, he gets a kick out of seeing insects he can eat in his lunch box. Ham and Cheese Pinwheels are perfect to make on a Saturday or Sunday and freeze to have them ready to go all week long.
