This post is brought to you by Premier Protein to show you how to make a high protein breakfast cookies. The content and opinions expressed below are mine.
Working out first thing in the morning is the best way to burn a lot of calories. However, I am usually hungry after a long workout. I mean really starving. Since I have spent all that time working off those calories, I don’t want to eat junk food to just pile those calories back on. Choosing healthy options can be tough. A great way to add fuel to your body is eating a high protein breakfast cookie.
High Protein Breakfast Cookies
Ingredients for High Protein Breakfast Cookies
2 mashed bananas
1/2 cup Premier Protein Bananas and Cream
2 cups Whole Oats
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1/4 cup Premier Protein Bananas and Cream
1/2 cup pecans or nuts
1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
Cinnamon for dusting
Directions for High Protein Breakfast Cookies
First measure the chia seeds and 1/4 cup Premier Protein Bananas and Cream into a small dish. Let this hang out for about 5-10 minutes. This will allow the chia seeds to swell.
Next mash the bananas in a small bowl.
Then measure out the whole oats, pecans and chocolate chips in a bowl.
Then add the chia seeds mixture and the bananas together and mix well.
Pour in the 1/2 cup Premier Protein with the chia seeds and banana mixture.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix. Let this sit there for about five minutes to let the oats soak up the liquid.
Now form in to small circles on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle a little cinnamon on top.
Bake at 350° for about 15 minutes. Flip over and bake for another 2 minutes if you want them firm on both sides.
Store in an air tight container in the fridge for up to four days.

Refueling After a Workout
I like to enjoy a cookie or two after a hard workout, since I am usually starving. These cookies are super filling and packed with protein to help you refuel after a workout. You can make a batch to last all week or really go bananas and double the batch to have enough to share. You can order Premier Protein Bananas and cream on their site. My husband loved how smooth this protein shake is to drink and all the kids enjoyed trying it too.
How do you add protein to your day?
I’ve always wanted to try breakfast cookies. These look super easy and super filling. Now I just need to work out enough to make okay to eat one or two of these in the morning! Thanks so much for the recipe!
These look perfect. A great way to get some protein in to start your day off right!
Do you know the macros? cals, fats and protein per serving?
Thanks for Angelique for your question. I do not have the cals, fats and protein per serving. I am working on updating my recipe app to provide that information going forward.
I made these for my family yesterday morning and everyone loved it! My family had eaten all of them by the time I went for seconds! I’m going to make them again today or tomorrow, and was wondering if I made a double batch if I could freeze some of the batter? These are definitely a new family favorite. Thank you!
Do you know the sodium on these?
