Pink Strawberry Doughnut Recipe

May 10, 2018 Amy 2 Comments

stPink strawberry doughnuts are just the cutest thing.

I fell in love with these little doughnut molds and I just had to get some.

Since strawberries are in season, I thought making some strawberry doughnuts would be a hit with the kids. Normally I make homemade strawberry jam, but I knew my little guy would love to have strawberry doughnuts instead.

Who could resist these cute little things?

The molds make the perfect little doughnut. If you don’t have one of these, you need to get one. For the mix it is my simple pancake recipe with some strawberry puree mixed in to make it the perfect shade of pink. My son loves strawberries.

Directions how to make strawberry doughnut recipe

Strawberry doughnut recipe

This is really just a little adaption of my homemade pancake recipe.

To make the strawberry puree, wash and place strawberries in the NurtiBullet blender and blend. This is a quick way to make strawberry puree. Measure out 1 cup and two tablespoons of strawberry puree for the recipe and glaze.

First blend all the dry ingredients together. Then mix all the wet ingredients together in a separate bowl including strawberry puree.

Then pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients while stirring. Stir until well combined to make a doughnut batter.

When all of the ingredients are mixed together, pour the batter into the doughnut molds. I saw these and I thought they were just the cutest things, so I had to have them. Now my kids love having doughnuts in the morning for breakfast.

Bake at 350° for 11 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Let set for about 2 minutes then pop out of the molds and let cool on a wire rack like this one.

The Best Strawberry Doughnuts

If you would like to get more use out of these doughnut molds, then take a traditional muffin recipe and add a more milk to make the perfect batter. Muffin recipes make perfect doughnuts and you don’t even have to tell the kids they are really just muffins. Muffins in the shape of a doughnut is so much more fun. Don’t you think?
