Thanks to Brentwood Home for helping me create an amazing reading nook in my home. All thoughts and opinions expressed in the following article are my own.
“I don’t want to read!” says my son whenever it is time for his required school reading. Have you heard those words before? This is an on going battle at my house. He is such a good reader too. Honestly, I think he doesn’t like to sit still and be quiet. That kids can go for days.
How to Create a Reading Nook
One day I thought, it would be great if he had a comfy little spot where he could snuggle up with a good book. Brentwood Home has the perfect little snugly seat for him the Venice Lounger. The Venice Lounger has three colors to choose from to make the spot just perfect for your home and your child.

Next, provide a small reading light and a little blanket your child loves. This makes a nice and cozy spot for them to read.
About the Venice Lounger
I love how easy this little chair is to move from room to room. It comes compact and slowly gets bigger naturally, since it is filled with plush gel memory foam. Once it is inflated, it always holds it shape.
There is a small handle to grab and move around. He can have it upstairs or bring it right next to me while I work. It is lightweight so he can move it around where ever he wishes. The Venice Lounger adds additional seating in our living room. We desperately needed more seating in there.
How to Win a Venice Lounger of Your Own
I have exciting news! You have the chance to win your very own Venice Lounger and Lily Pad pillow set from Brentwood Home. That’s right you can win this combination right from me! Here are all the details on how to win. I wish you the best of luck.

We make it fun!! We laugh and giggle through the whole book
Keep it fun by letting them choose books from the library.
My husband and I are very animated when reading, we do all the voices!!
We do a rewards program. After some many books he can get a toy or go to a movie
My kids love listening to audiobooks in the car and then going home to look those same books over to see the photos.
We read as a family and have snacks and reading night 3 nights a week!
letting them pick a book at the store; when it is up to them they are more likely to read!
also gifts from the elf on the shelf- he can motivate kids to read when they think santa will treat their good behavior!
Oddly enough – we never really had an issue with getting our kids to read, and most of our grand kids love to read too. I think that leading by example is paramount. Also, making sure that children have access to books that are of interest to them is crucial.
