I wear a digital pedometer all the time and so does my husband. My little guy loves it and wants to wear it too. If I let him, I am sure I would get many more counted steps in the day, but that just wouldn’t be fair. I was so delighted when I saw LeapFrog has come out with an activity tracker just for kids called Leap Band.
Get Kids Moving With Leap Bands
My little guy was so excited to wear his new Leap Band, to be just like mommy and daddy. It was so easy for him to set up and start playing right away. There are challenges on the Leap Band to get him up and moving around like a chicken or hop like a kangaroo. There are many more different challenges for continued fun. Plus it teaches about nutrition for kids and having a well balanced meal. I think these Leap Bands would be perfect for really hot days or rainy days to get kids moving.
Leap Bands Plus More
But there’s more ways to get kids moving. All the juels they earn while walking around can be used in a game for the Wi-Fi Leap Pad or download the app to your phone or device. Simply download the Petathalon app and your child can start playing the game. My son wanted to stay active to earn more juels to play the app. I think this is a really good balance, since he is active he can then also sit down to rest and play the game.
We wanted to share our experience, so we invited a few friends over to play with the new Leap Band. All of the kids loved playing the games on the Leap Bands. Plus we made up a few of our own. We were able to get kids moving easily with this fun toy.
Clif Z Bar Refueling Station
With all that moving around, the kids need a little refueling. I set up a fun build your own yogurt parfait bar with fresh fruit, yogurt and Clif Z Bars. My kids love Clif Z bars and I do too. They are a mostly organic, protein packed snack for my kids. I cut the fruit up into small pieces and cut up the Clif Z Bars to make an easy healthy, protein packed treat for kids. They loved them.
